Our workshops are a fab opportunity for people currently working, performing or just wanting to have fun in the arts, to sharpen their skills across various disciplines in an environment that is fun professional and exciting.

Bloom Creative Productions presents our Theatre Tap 5 Week Workshop Series for beginner and intermediate level dancers.

Beginners- This relaxed class is for people who have tapped a little or never tapped at all. These 5, 1-hour long classes will introduce you to the fun rhythmic moves of this great style.

Intermediate - This class is for people who have tapped before. These 5, 1-hour long classes are designed for people looking to improve their skills and technique in this fun rhythmic style.

 

Come alone, or bring your friends and enjoy this series, where you have the opportunity to learn from highly esteemed tapper, Sally Dashwood!

SALLY DASHWOOD

Sally Dashwood, formerly known as Sally Hare, is a performer, choreographer and dance teacher who grew up on Sydney’s North Shore.

 

Most recently Sally was Assistant Director of La Boheme on Sydney Harbour, choreographer of Packemin’s Legally Blonde and a 2018 Bloch Artiste. She was Assistant Director to Dean Bryant on Opera Australia’s production of Two Weddings One Bride, Assistant Choreographer/Dance Captain to Kelley Abbey on Carmen and rehearsal choreographer on productions Il Turco in Italia and Lucia di Lammermoor for Opera Australia.

 

Other notable credits include: Untapped! New Victory Theatre on Broadway, ensemble/understudy Lambchops in the Australian Tour of Fame the Musical, ensemble/Phyllis in Mack and Mabel at The Hayes, Wayne Scott Kermond’s Candy Man, Happy Feet 2, Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton-John, Meghan Trainor and assistant to Creative Directors/Choreographers The Squared Division on The X Factor.

 

This year Sally will choreograph Packemin’s Mamma Mia and will be Revival Director for Opera Australia’s Two Weddings, One Bride.

Beginners - This class is for people who have danced a little or never at all. You will participate in 5 fun, 1-hour long classes that will introduce you to the fun rhythmic moves of musical theatre.

Intermediate -  5 fun, 1-hour long class that will help you improve your confidence in the style and expose you to the fun rhythmic moves of musical theatre jazz.

CAMERON BOXALL

Cameron originally found a love for anything theatre back in his hometown of Canberra, before making the leap across the border to graduate with a Diploma of Performing Arts at Ed5 International in 2013. Since graduating he has worked internationally on Princess Cruises, Universal Studios Singapore and most recently returned after touring Australia and New Zealand as a dancer with Michael Jackson The Legacy Tour (William Hall). In Australia, he has worked alongside artists such as Marcia Hines, Jon English, Courtney Act, Amanda Muggleton, and Delta Goodrem. As well as working for mentors such as Amy Campbell, William A Forsythe, Luke Joslin, Cameron Mitchell, Neil Gooding, and Jason Winters.
In television and film, he has worked on programs such as “A Place to Call Home” (Seven Network), House of Bond (Nine Network) and Pacific Rim Two (Legendary Pictures).
The world of Musical Theatre has seen him jump from many roles on stage to behind the curtain. Performing with Packemin Productions in shows such as Hairspray, Annie, Wicked and Jesus Christ Superstar. Whilst working alongside the production
teamasassistant choreographer with Wicked, Cats and Miss Saigon.
Most recently Cameron made his professional musical theatre debut with Into the Woods as both cast member and choreographer.

If you are looking to sharpen your audition technique to better your chances of landing that next role, then this is the masterclass for you!

 

 

Jordan Vassallo (Director/Producer), Peter Hayward (Musical Director) and Rachel Kelly (Musical Director/Accompanist) will facilitate a 3 Part Masterclass Series to help improve your audition technique and readiness as you prepare for your next casting opportunity.

This Masterclass Series is a great opportunity for you to work on your audition technique and craft in an intimate environment with just 10 spots available, allowing you the chance to work closely with Jordan, Peter and Rachel to achieve the strength you seek in your auditions. 

In this Masterclass you will have the opportunity to :
- Perform a mock singing audition
- Receive feedback from the panel
- Practice the art of a cold read and receive direction and feedback
- Workshop song choices on the floor
- Workshop acting techniques to improve your cold read success.
- Understand your brand and how you present in the room
- Establish your repertoire and appropriate song selection
- Understand audition preparation requirements and what you can do to prepare to always be ready
- Experience a call back scenario
- Create and improve your own acting CV ready for your next audition
- Learn and discuss shared experiences with fellow participants
- Warm up and focus on exercise importance
- Understand your vocal range

Classes will run every Tuesday night at 7:30pm from June 4th-18th at Packemin Studios 137/7 Hoyle Avenue Castle Hill. 

 

A Series Pass is $250 and includes all 3, 2 hour Masterclasses.

 

NOTE:  Spaces are strictly limited to 10 spots to ensure optimum class size. Classes have a minimum participant number and will only run once this number of participants is reached. Once registrations close you will receive an email confirming your place. Once confirmed you will be directed to the payment portal.
